Utilizes the patented "Magnastat" temperature control system to maintain a constant tip temperature of 700°F or 800°F depending on the PT Series tip selected. This "closed loop" method of controlling maximum tip temperature protects temperature-sensitive components, while the grounded tip protects voltage and current-sensitive components. 42-watt iron comes with PTA7 (1/16" screwdriver, 700°F) tip and is terminated with a quick connect/disconnect plug for easy replacement. Other features include static-safe housing and iron handle, ESD safe detachable iron stand for left or right handed use, lighted on/off switch, and 3-wire power cord with strain-relief design.
