Siemens model # DGH-11 SIEMENS Fire Safety introduces "Prison Guard" housing - a specially fabricated fire detector guard for use in prisons and other high risk institutions where tampering or vandalism may occur. The housings are made of sturdy 22 gauge mesh with a 14-gauge reinforcement frame for rugged protection in areas such as schools, dormitories, prisons, and public areas prone to vandalism. It is designed for the proper balance between maximum detector protection and providing adequate openings for combustion products of a smoldering fire to enter a fire detector’s smoke chamber. The DGH-11 detector guard housing was designed through substantial smoke room testing. Thermal life in a hot fire permits many conventional high security detector guards to allow smoke entry, but small openings in these guards prohibit combustion products in a smoldering fire from entering the detector smoke chamber. The DGH-11 detector guard housing was designed to provide the necessary balance between vandalism and maximum life safety. The 0.25 inch hex hole screen opening is optimized for smoke entry for smoldering fires. The guard housings are supplied with lag bolts and anchors for mounting the back plate to the ceiling. A tool for the security screw is included. Siemens AG is a global solutions company with more than 500 manufacturing and assembly sites located in more than 190 countries. The company designs, develops, and manufactures electrical and electronic systems for the most technologically advanced industries in the world, from telecommunications to health care. (756)
