20 PACKS (80,000 DISCS) General applications This tape is conformable, will remove cleanly, contains no silicones, and is biodegradable and harmless to the environment. The tape dissolves in water. Application and removal instructions. The printed circuit board must be completely free from contamination by materials such as grease, oils, or metal salts. The liner should be removed from the tape and the tape is positioned on the board. Avoid stretching the tape when positioning it on the board as this could lead to solder seepage in the stretched areas. Ensure sufficient pressure is used when applying the tape, to eliminate air bubbles. The efficient removal of the tape is dependent on water temperature and water agitation. It is recommended that a water temperature of 140°F (60°C) is used for a period of 2 minutes. The unused tape, should always be returned to re-sealable bags after use.
