The PTC¨ Model 620 Dry Stylus Stem Recording Thermometer records temperatures permanently over periods of 24 hours or 7 days. RANGE: 20/220 F
Its essential features are a high quality chart-driving mechanical clock; a bimetallic temperature sensing element; a permanent recording dry stylus; 100 pressure sensitive charts; and a stem.
This thermometer is for applications requiring the use of an immersion stem, where a time-temperature record is needed.
The spring wound chart drive requires no external power or batteries and is nonexplosive. One winding is enough to drive the chart 20% beyond its full recording range-whether 24 hour or 7 day. Each clock is a dependable, high-grade mechanism, which has been electronically timed for accuracy. Because it is spring activated, it will operate in extreme temperatures (from -70°F to +240°F) where batteries fail.
The stainless steel stylus does not need ink, sharpening, or replacing. The 3 1/4" diameter paper charts are pressure sensitive and plastic coated in white. Time and temperature graduations are printed in blue. The stylus, bearing against the plastic face of the chart, inscribes a time-temperature trace in black on the chart.
