Markem Model 527 Wire Marker Top Brander. Great Condition. It is functional. There are two switches on the front of the system for operation. The top switch is for power, the bottom switch is momentary and must be held on for the unit to operate. There are two emergency stop switches located on both sides of the unit. The operation is as follows: The roller mechanism on top rolls back and forth over the top of the round platen, on each stroke retraction, the round platen is advanced radially. It appears to be missing the rubber rollers. A second modification is the switch mounted to the right of the unit. This switch is depressed on each forward stroke. It is connected electrically to a electropneumatic cylinder. This cylinder could be connected to pressure or vacuum. I am not exactly sure of the function. There is another swtich that is locoated on the top surface, this appears to be a mechanical pressure/vacuum switch. This electropneumatic valve has been tested and is functional. The mechanical valve has not been tested. The foot pedal does not work. I am not sure if that is due to it being modified, or if it just does not work.
