Anyone in the trade will tell you , just how tough normal chipboard is on tungsten blades , what they may not know is Kitchen worktops are for the most part 30% sand , its used as a filler because its cheaper than sawdust and its heavier creating the illusion of quality . So you re asking the cutter to cut 40 laminated chipboard thats 30% sand , and often contains nails and other nasties .
