Oak Eaters are still available however we are down to just 5 packs so they are listed in the store only .
A mason mitre is the joint used to join kitchen worktops together ,
some consider it a black art , and they may well be right .What makes it especially hard on a cutter is the fact that you re cutting 40 mm laminated chipboard . Anyone in the trade will tell you , just how tough normal chipboard is on tungsten blades , what they may not know is Kitchen worktops are for the most part 30% sand , its used as a filler because its cheaper than sawdust and its heavier creating the illusion of quality . So you re asking the cutter to cut 40 laminated chipboard thats 30% sand , and often contains nails and other nasties .
well theres a private Fitters Forum located at , where a bunch of Fitters talk shop and swop tips , they are an accomodating bunch , who will happily help out with any problems , sign in , introduce yourself and feel welcome .
What else ? We actively promote participation in the trials of new products , manufacturers are increasingly making samples available to the Professional end user / US , to test and provide feed back . We have a two part super glue , due on the shelf soon , the guys have been clamering for it , since we tested it as they reckon its the best they have come across . So if you fancy taking part in a trial , sign up , stick your hand in the air and let us know .its completely free .
The Six Pack! This is six cutters from Tideway , individually packaged and provided in boxes of 6 , £24 including vat and £5 postage , you can resharpen them , but most guys use em and sling em /a new cutter always cuts better than a resharpened one .
Suck eggs time ...........any cutter this size should be run at half speed , you will double the working life and it will in fact cut faster !
If you have any questions , please don't hesitate to ask , send me an email .
