From: Frieda Lowe
Subject Two mellon heat treat furnaces
Manufactured in 1973 at a cost of $18,000.00 each.
Each Furnace is 12"x12"x36" deep. The hardening furnace reaches 2300° and the tempering furnace has a circulating fan and reaches 1200°.
The outside shell is in excellent condition with the exception of the doors ( they need new hinges that can be easily fabricated).
The problem with these babies, is , the inside brick and elements have fallen apart when they were transported at one time
( I don't know when) as this was the way I got them, and I have stolen some of the brick for other projects.
I have complete manuals for these that include how to rebuild them.
I guarantee that there are enough good elements and (maybe bricks) to completely
rebuild one and have the second shell for parts or rebuilding.
