This is a NEW Kurt J. Lesker Company stainless steel in-line high vacuum valve with KF-25 flanges.
* Kurt J. Lesker Company part number SL0100PVQF
* stainless steel in-line valve
* actuation is bellows sealed
* pneumatic actuation (air to open, spring to close)
* 1/8" NPT port for pneumatic actuator

As received by the seller, this valve was in the sealed factory bag, as seen in the first picture, and in the factory box. The valve was removed from the bag to inspect (and in this case modify) the port where air pressure is applied to the pneumatic actuator.
The seller knows from personal experience that, at least during some period of time, some Kurt J. Lesker valves were manufactured with something other than the typical 1/8" NPT thread on these ports. It was explained to him once that they were actually 1/8" BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper; same as Japanese pipe thread). Some of the Lesker valves were supplied with adapters intended to fit such a detail and present a standard 1/8" NPT thread detail for attachment of other fittings. In the seller's experience, these didn't fit the valves properly, either! It appeared that, whatever thread had been intended, it hadn't been tapped deeply enough; neither 1/8" NPT nor 1/8" BSPT fittings would fit properly.
Such is the case with this valve. The solution was to simply cut the threads more deeply with a 1/8" NPT tap. The geometry of the original thread (proper number of threads per inch, but a bit too small in diameter for either thread standard) allowed this to be done easily and nicely.
The valve is new and immaculate.
