Remote Assist - Virtually "transports" VSEA experts to your Fab
Employing sophisticated videoconferencing and a custom video helmet, Remote Assist allows on-site engineers to work directly with Varian Semiconductor support centers and factories. The helmet is fitted with a video camera, eyepiece display, earphone and microphone. Complex procedures can easily be directed from remote locations since Varian Semiconductor experts can see and hear exactly what on-site engineers are experiencing. As a result, emergency and preventative maintenance can be conducted in real-time at lower costs.
What's more, Remote Assist enables on-site engineers to tour your implanter hands-free while sending real-time audio and video of the tool to VSEA experts for analysis. Varian Semiconductor personnel can transmit electronic documentation, current schematics, assembly drawings and photos from our VeDoc system to your engineers. These images are displayed in the helmet's eyepiece monitors - the equivalent of a 21-inch desk monitor. Virtual "whiteboarding" capabilities allow our experts to annotate areas of interest for the on-site engineer.
Remote Assist also facilitates the transfer of best company practices from fab to fab. This benefit encompasses all fab practices, since the Remote Assist can be used on any manufacturer's equipment.
