This is a NEW VIOLET laser module mounted in a NICE heatsink...It has a built-in Diode Driver and runs from 7.5 to 10volts...It uses a 405nm Nichia 35mW laser diode driven to only 25mW for increased life.. The module has a built in driver that includes TTL and analogue modulation for laser show or scientific use.
This is NOT a cheap Export laser..It is NOT a pointer ...This is Made in America,
WE were really surprised how thin the beam is ...less than 1.mm. at less than .8mR.
This laser is extremly stable... it is rock stable.....It is that well regulated..
This laser is also reverse polarity protected at both inputs. Overvoltage protected at the input as well.
This Unit also includes Analog modulation control input but will work with TTL modulation as well..to well over 20khz and still have a flat frequency response...very linear , very smooth... Also, Adjustable focus to match-up your beam to your optics !!!
We will provide hook-up instructions , its very easy to use..A 2 Ft long 2wire shielded cable is included with the head... Great for laser show or other fun scientific applications!
One benefit of the higher power VIOLET laser is that the beam can actually be seen. During the night, it's an awesome sight. So cool...It's always fun to see the confused look on peoples faces when they see a several hundred foot long glowing stick of light coming from this module. All photos of the laser in use are 100% real -No Smoke- overexposure or editing required. Has not been overdriven ... you know the routine...
What is really neat is the effects of absorption by different colors of objects..giving off FLOURESCENCE . Aiming this laser to yellow postem notes makes them glow brite white while on orange postems they shined brite Yellow. We even aimed the laser to a Uranium marble and it glowed brite green. Only your imagination can make you realize what a fantastic marvel this VIOLET / BLUE laser can be. The Pictures below fooled our camera into thinking the beam was blue..but it really is Violet/blue in color and the beam can actually be seem easily in a dark room.
