This is a thermal imaging eye assembly that was surplused by FLIR. That's right, the same people that make all that cool night vison equipment the military uses. This is an unused module. This is from an older design of heat vision equipment that FLIR no longer produces. A number of these have gone into other industry areas (like the ones that went into imaging spinal damage at a medical facility). I don't know a lot about these things. They're way beyond anything I know how to make use of. I know they originally cost many thousands of dollars. Now ? . ? . ? .
