This machine was set up for and ran one job only. The job only required that the spindle turn as the part was brought to the spindle with a mechanical slide fixture. The part was placed in the fixture and then manually pushed against the spindle to polish a miniature medical part. The spindle height was locked in position and the table was locked in position. Therefore the ways and guides have never seen any use. In fact, everything is very tight and the ways and spindle are dry. Lubrication should be used to free up the movement of the spindle and table. This is a 1985 machine that is virtually brand new.
