Why oil injector is needed?
Answer: 1. Compressor oil travel with the refrigerant to the whole AC system. If the AC system is installed in such a way, return of refrigerant oil is limited or restricted(by gravity), the compressor may run low on the compressor oil(function as lubricant, sealant and coolant). Or, when you change the condenser or evaporator of an AC system while not changing the compressor, the compressor oil is removed from the AC system. In either case, you need to watch the oil level in the compressor. Or your system has or had a leak of refrigerant, the oil is leaked too with the refrigerant. If this occurs for any reason, it will increase the noise and short the life of the compressor. This too is here to rescue: add more of the compressor oil, mineral oil or POE!
2. When a system is loosing refrigerant in a very slow rate that the refrigerant leak detector can not find this leak, or the area has a constant air flow/ventilation, that the leak detector can not pick up the leak, you may need to inject a fluorescent dye to the system and find the leak a period later with a UV light. Yes, this injector can help you to do this, too: serve as a dye injector.
Free Advice: you have to be knowledgeable about the system, and inject the oil or dye from the low side.
