Clements G24 Precision CNC Vertical Jig Grinder.
We have not yet located specs for this specific unit but based on G18 and G36 this is a 24 by 24 by 4.88 inch travel unit.
There is only a small bit of documentation that we have found so far.
I have talked with Brad Adams (shown in the log book above) who built this unit (and other matching and similar units) for Clements while he was at QUALITY TOOL AND GAGE IN RICHMOND INDIANA. It was designed with feed-through capability for precision grinding on long rods. Original selling price was in the vicinity of $150,000 in 1989. ($190K for units with more options.) The machine was designed and built from scratch, including the castings. Unfortunately, there are no known schematics for this unit. We can put a seriously interested party in touch with Brad.
This is a very nice quality machine tool.
The main electronics section has an air cooling heat exchanger in the door to keep the electronics booth cool and clean.
