This is a Rama Cartridge Heater. Ideal for plastic extrusion, but can be used to heat water, oil, etc. These heaters are very versatile and expensive.
Rama’s cartridge heaters are the highest quality available. The Rama heaters are the result of many years experience perfecting high watt-density elements which are capable of long life at elevated temperatures. Rama heaters are manufactured with an incoloy sheath and incoloy end disc in addition to a lava seal. They provide continuous sheath temperatures up to 1600°F depending on size and rating, as well as uniform, accurate heating in the lower temperature range.
This Rama heater has a minimum of 1/4" unheated section at the disc end. The leadwires are rated at 840°F.
The end farthest from the leads has the companys name and part number stamped on it.
