Illuminates the working aera: Three LEDs brighten up the work aera for a better view even under difficult lighting conditions. The green colour LEDs are optimised for use with the auto-darkening filter (ADF) in therms of brightness, longevity and low energy consumption. Patented auto cut-off of LED spotlight during welding conserves energy. Rechargeable batteries allow for up to two days of operation under normal working conditions and can be recharged overnight in less than ten hours. ADF cartridge power supplied by solar cells.
* Shade level control : Adjust this control knob to select the shade within settings of 9-13. Selections can be made according to the welding process.
* Curved Cover lens: The durable polycarbonate lens is equipped with an elastic seal to eliminate negative effects caused by penetrating gases, smoke or particles. These cover lenses outlast conventional style cover lenses by a factor 10. The cover lens can be changed easily thanks to two quick-disconnects.
* Solar Cells : Optrel®’s proven solar technology ensures a continuous power supply while also eliminating the need for on/off switches and untimely/costly battery changes.
* Adjustable Sensor Bar: Eliminate the effects of ambient light. Simply slide the sensor bar up and the angle of detection will open from 60 degrees to 120, which optimizes performance during low current and over the head welding. Keep it down and reduce the chances of a near by arc darkening your lens.
* Eye Protection: Several LCD’s and special filters provide permanent Shade 4 protection from dangerous UV and IR radiation, even in the unlikely event of total filter failure.
* Water resistance: The Optrel® Helios ADF is protected against humidity and moisture (according to European IP 67 standard: 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter).
* Applications: Electrode welding MIG steel MIG aluminium, MIG stainless steel MAG welding TIG welding Not suitable for Laser- and oxy-gas welding.
