Viking ISI SCBA Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus for Fire Equipment
ISI (International Safety Instruments) based in Lawrenceville, GA. specializes in the manufacture of SCBA (Self contained Breathing Apparatus) and other respiratory protective products. The Viking line of SCBA are designed specifically for the rigors of structural fire fighting meeting or exceeding the stringent NFPA 1981 Standard 2002 Edition. the Viking line is available in both low pressure (2216 PSI) and high pressure (4500 PSI). In addition to the choice of pressure the Viking line can be selected in a basic version named the DX and the fully optioned DXL. In addition either pressure or model can be ordered in a CBRN (Chemical Biological, Radio Nuclear) compliant configuration.
DX Version General Description:
ISI, Viking DX Version SCBA is very similar to the DXL configuration except that it does not include an integrated PASS Alarm System. The SCBA can be configured in 2216 PSI or 4500 PSI operating pressures with all of the same cylinder selections as listed with the DXL. The ISI Viking DX Version features the air switch facemask with integrated regulator. Medium facemask with optically correct double curve lens, Kevlar head harness, and is completely submersible for quick cleaning and sanitizing. The Viking has a Thermo set Composite back frame. All lifesaving components Hoses, Reducer, and alarms are protected inside the compartmentalized back frame, keeping them safe, secure and clean.
