Tektronix TM506 6-Slot Power Mainframe
For sale- a Tektronix TM506 6-Slot Power Mainframe for Tektronix Plug-In Modules. It is pictured with a single plug-in which is NOT included, only there to show that the TM 506 provides power to it in that position. All six slots have been similarly tested with the same results, but that is the extent of the testing and no warranty is offered. In fact the TN506 pictured has already been sold to good reviews, but I don't see any purpose served by taking new pictures, they look pretty much identical.
A decal on the back says that it has Option 2; I’m not sure what that might entail, but there are six BNC connections on the back labeled A through F, plus a 50-pin male connection (two rows of 17 pins with a row of 16 in the middle, is that SCSI?). I see other TM506’s listed without Option 2 and there is nothing on the back of those. Plus this is the nicer looking blue frame as opposed to the unfinished aluminum.
The physical condition of this TM506 is very good. Not perfect, a few scratches and scuffs, but it looks very nice. The lot this was in produced two 503’s, a 504, and two 506’s. This is the last one left. The 504 and 506’s still had the plastic on the handles, indicating either they didn’t get toted around a whole lot or were spares that were never used. This particular one has seen at least some use as there is some evidence of plug-ins having been installed and removed, call it lightly used. But it otherwise looks good and seems to be functional although the foam filter over the fan is missing. Probably disintegrated from age.

I will also try to find and list some blank Tektronix plug-in modules that I have been sitting on for years. I sold some way back when and they went out to rave reviews. The ones I have left were not quite as pristine, but they had never been assembled, and I have both single and double wides. Check back often!
