Johnson soft metal lead melting furnace

This is model number #200 and is designed to give the longest possible service at the lowest maintenance cost.
This furnace is lined with a high-quality, wear-resistant, castable high temperature insulating refractory poured with molds used in their factory. It expands and contracts as the furnace heats and cools.
We used this furnace approximately 10 times between 2005 and most recently November of 2007. Its only use was to melt recycled lead from a Ludlow Typograph machine for setting type for hot-foil stamping.
