Using the Wesflex WR-401 Radial Arm Router/Shaper, an unskilled operator can rout out and simultaneously edge profile part in seconds. Precise duplication of template is assured on a high production basis...machine virtually eliminates rejects.
A simple template of any rigid material (i.e. plywood) made to the exact shape and size of the desired piece is used. Template can be bolted or held by vacuum that also holds workpiece.
With both hands on the handwheel or workpiece at maximum distance from the cutting action, the operator simply moves the vacuum arm so that the bearing on router bit stays in contact with the template as the work is fed. The piece is thereby cut out and profiled in a smooth, continuous operation.
