Description: HD-100 is a proprietary blend of organic fatty acid oils and synthetic esters that feature excellent lubricity and thermal stability. HD-100 is blended with a complete package of extreme pressure additives that provides excellent anti-wear characteristics and high burn-off temperature. HD-100 is not water-soluble and is used at full strength. HD-100 is best used in machining steels or other hard metals.
Applications: HD-100 has excellent lubrication properties that make it useful in a wide variety of applications such as metal forming, wood and rubber processing as well as environmental sensitive applications such as forestry and mining. HD-100 is very cost effective in eliminating the use of flood coolants and the cost of disposal. Minute amounts are delivered directly to the cutting edge of a tool providing excellent heat transfer to the chips and eliminating degradation of the tool. Increased speeds and feeds are common with the proper use of all Maglube products.
