1" X 12" URETHANE INSERTS FOR 1" STEEL BOTTOM DIE
These triangular shaped K·Prene® inserts convert steel "V" dies into non-marring, versatile bottom dies. Under pressure from a punch, Acroform™ takes the shape of a variety of punch tips and in the process, produces a variety of scratch free, accurate bends. Stocked in K-800A, K-900A & K-950A. Other durometers available. Please state the part number, durometer, and quantity desired.
Simply position the correct sized Acroformâ„¢ in 1" or 2" steel V dies, using lengths that allow 2" to extend beyond the ends of the part to be formed. Acroformâ„¢ is stocked in 1 foot increments to 4 foot lengths. If long bends are being made, simply butt Acroformâ„¢ ends together using double-faced tape in the female die to prevent separation.
For maximum life of Acroformâ„¢, do not penetrate any further than is needed to produce the desired bend. Penetrating to a depth of more than 30% of the height of Acroformâ„¢ can significantly reduce its effective life. Spring back problems are reduced with Acroformâ„¢ and it allows you to form different material thicknesses without having to change to smaller dies.
