Oxy-acetylene handbook, 1950, weld, cut etc how to book

quoting the dust jacket: “THE OXY-ACETYLENE HANDBOOK has been planned to be a basic handbook or manual on oxy-acetylene welding and cutting and their related processes. It has been planned specifically to be of use in colleges, vocational schools, and secondary schools, and in other teaching institutions having courses in welding, construction methods, shop and other vocational and technical subjects.
The book will also be of interest to those in industrial plants who are responsible for the training of welding and cutting operators. It will be of use to plant management people, engineers, designers, superintendents, foremen, and operators in shops where the oxy-acetylene processes are or might be used as production or maintenance tools.
Every effort has been extended in the preparation of this book to make it a textbook on the manual application of the oxy-acetylene processes that will be of maximum use for self-instruction or for classroom work. The wide experience in vocational education of a considerable number of persons has been heavily drawn upon to produce a book as valuable for teaching purposes as it is accurate for technical reference.
The subject matter has been limited to those operations and principles with which both the experienced operator and student are concerned, while familiar mechanized processes have been described briefly. Although all of the copy and illustrations were prepared with the teaching problem uppermost in mind, a comprehensive index, adequate use of subtitles, and an ample data section in Appendix I, make this book readily useful for shop reference purposes.
This new handbook supersedes and replaces "The Oxwelder's Manual" - which in more recent years has appeared as "The Oxwelder's Handbook." The many users of the numerous previous editions of the Manual and Handbook will find, however, that this new Oxy-Acetylene Handbook covers all of the basic and factual information to which they have become accustomed, and in addition, contains new copy, pictures, and improved presentations that years of experience have proved dependable.”
Fantastic book, filled with all kinds of information about using an oxygen-acetylene torch. ferrous and non-ferrous welding, cutting, metal testing, bronze-surfacing, hard-facing, brazing, welding shop setup etc etc (The table of contents is 7½ pages long!) Hundreds of photos, drawings and tables.
The book is hard cover, 6” x 9” with 587 pages. Used but good condition; lots of wear on the covers edges; enciled name on inside front cover; a few underlinings on the table of contents, nowhere else.
Anything I find that looks interesting!
