1980 Clark C500-Y50 5000 lb propane forklift.
129" lift height, 84" lowered mast height
Good: Starts and runs excellent. No leaks. Has been reliable for the 4 years we've owned it. Comes w/ propane tank. Recent battery and brake job. Recent paint.
Bad: Parking brake barely works, brakes work but not perfectly (doesn't stop on a dime), steering is loose, no hourmeter, kind of an ugly green color, one of tires occasionally spins on the wheel (wouldn't recommend avoiding steep grades until this is fixed)
Mast and forks have some wear, but its to be expected for a forklift that's almost 30 years old.
We've been using it using it about half an hour each week. We're moving to a new facility, and we'd like to upgrade to a newer one.
The forklift would be great for use for farm, self-employed, home/ranch, or occasional small business use. I personally wouldn't recommend it for daily, frequent use at a business. Please realize this forklift is nearly 30 years old.
