7475 is a high purity version of 7075 with tighter control on the iron and silicon that offers a combination of higher strength, superior fracture toughness and resistance to fatigue cracking. Typical fracture toughness values for alloy 7475 are up to 40 percent greater than alloy 7075 in the same tempers.
