DATA SELECTOR SWITCH, NOS, DIP ICs
New, old stock (NOS ICs) DIP. CMOS 4512 is equivalent to CD4512 / CD4512B, HEF4512 / HEF4512B, HCF4512 / HCF4512B and SGS4512 / SGS4512B.
Has great advantage over the CMOS 4051 (CD4051 / MC14051) 8-channel data selector switch because the 4512 CMOS comes with a 3-state disable control input. 3-state disable permits the designer to parallel just about as many 4512 ICs as he/she needs while easily controlling which bank(s) are to be selected.
The 4512 is an 8-Channel MUX / 8-Channel DEMUX. Of all of the various MUX and DEMUX configurations, the 8-Channel is probably the most useful. One of my favorite ICs for burglar alarm systems where sometimes dozens of different potential entry points must all be monitored at once. Also very useful for A/D and D/A conversions. Very versatile CMOS IC.
NOTE: Later availability not guaranteed. LIMITED QUANTITY.
Seller listing codes: LD049, LR096-S01, LS000-R00, MM000, CC000.
