Ball valves are an excellent method for controlling fluid flow. They are considerably more efficient than stopper-style valves — which can restrict flow around the central poppet or piston. SureStop™ uses a modified ball valve design on each side of the hose coupling. When the coupling is engaged, the valves interact with each other to squeeze back all trace fluids. This prevents fluid entrapment, as well as leakage when the coupling is disengaged.
Unique Valve Lever Interlock assures safe, consistent operation.
It’s easy to make reliable connections with SureStop
â„¢. A simple one-eighth twist engages the two halves and creates a seal. You then use the levers to open the valves, one at a time. The first secures the seal; the second then permits chemical flow with minimal restriction. The coupling remains locked until both ball valves are fully closed, permitting disengagement. Low profile, easy-grip handles are coded by color and symbol for positive identification.
CAUTION: Do not use with fluids that have a low flash point, static discharge could result in fire or explosion.
Operation: Modified dual ball valve design.
Construction: Glass-filled polypropylene Teflon® seats, fluorocarbon O-rings.
Maximum operating pressure: 100 psi max. @ 70°F 75 psi max. @ 150°F.
