HIGH SOLIDS METAL INTERLOCK FLOOR FINISH
ON AN' ON's special formulation greatly reduces the probability of powdering, even under unfavorable conditions such as low humidity and high heat.
ON AN' ON provides a secure feeling for those who walk on it. Independent testing for slip resistance by Underwriter Laboratories confirms the static coefficient of friction of On An’ On meets or exceeds 0.5 as determined by ASTM Method D 2047.
Leveling relates to a product's surface tension and the ability of a finish to flow smoothly and evenly. Spartan has developed a unique formulation for ON AN' ON which assures smooth, even application and provides an ease of repairability that's uncommon in other high-solids finishes.
Because of the high solids content, ON AN' ON is highly resistant to black-heel marks and scuffing. The surface marks which may appear can be easily spraybuffed away.
The costs involved with a professional maintenance staff have been skyrocketing over the past few years. As the salaries and wages required for a custodial staff jump higher and higher, maintenance professionals are searching for top quality products that will save their crews time and effort and do the job faster!
To fill the need for top quality, time-saving floor finish, Spartan has developed ON AN' ON, a high-solids metal interlock floor finish.
According to the latest International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) statistics, it takes approximately 36 minutes to apply one coat of finish per 1,000 square feet of floor. If an institution has 100,000 square feet of floor surface, the average custodian would need six hours to apply just one coat of finish. In a market with continually spiraling labor costs, the savings over a period of time are very significant.
100,000 Square Feet Example Average Finish ON AN' ON
Both examples provide the same amount of protection but the labor savings are remarkable when applying ON AN' ON. If the custodian were paid $9.00 an hour, it would cost $218 to apply the average finish. In contrast, it would cost only $108 to apply ON AN' ON!
Wet floors may be slippery. Prevent pedestrian traffic with signs or barricades.
1. Completely strip all old wax or floor finish. Depending upon build-up, use hot water and a Spartan Stripper: NAD-75, DA-70, Square One, Rinse Free Strip or Shineline Emulsifier Plus, L.O.E. Stripper, Green Solutions Floor Finish Remover, or Laminate Lights EnduraSTRIP.
2. Remove the stripping solution and follow with two to three clear-water rinses. Allow to dry. Repeat if necessary.
3. Apply On an' On in a uniform, thin coat. Let dry thoroughly for 30 to 40 minutes-until surface is dry to the touch. Apply subsequent coats in the same manner. No more than two coats are necessary.
1. Dust mop or sweep floor as necessary.
2. Damp mop using one of Spartan's cleaners: Spartan Damp Mop, DMQ Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner, SD-20 All Purpose Cleaner, Pathmaker, Sterigent or Green Solutions All Purpose Cleaner.
3. To easily repair traffic areas between finish applications, use Spartan Spraybuff, Super Spraybuff, Bounce Back or SunSwept. (Traffic lanes may be recoated as necessary.)
4. For heavily-soiled areas, machine scrub using the recommended dilution of one of the above-mentioned cleaners.
NOTE: For best maintenance results, always use Spartan floor cleaners and strippers.
ON AN' ON is packaged in 330-gallon reusable totes; in recyclable HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) 55, 30, and 15-gallon drums; 5-gallon pails; and gallons, four per case. Label copy is available in English and Spanish.
