The AM/FM knob is broken but you can move it with a pen or with anything sharp.
The 600 is used to synthesize a range of microwave frequencies at a variety of power levels and in a variety of modulation modes.
** RF output can be internally or externally modulated in AM (10 Hz-10 kHz), FM (10 Hz-1 MHz), and Pulse (10 Hz-1 MHz) modulation modes
** Separate displays are provided for frequency, modulation, and output level for setup and monitoring of output conditions
** The 600/6-12 can be operated manually from the logically laid-out front panel, or under remote computer control via the IEEE-488 interface bus
