Travaini Model PVLB400 oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump. Serial number 96081305. Manufacturer rates at 285 CFM, and they aren't lying too badly. Normal end vacuum 28.7 in. Hg. or 15 Torr. 80 db(A) noise rating. 230/460 volt motor. New cost estimated at $13,000.
Used for medical vacuum. Disassembled, cleaned, reassembled with new intake and exhaust valves, seals, and gaskets. Bearings and vanes were OK. Oil and filters serviced. Unit runs and sounds good. Nameplate amperage is 19.6 at 460 volts, tested at 19.8-20.4 at 20 In Hg. Pump blanks off at 6 Torr, better than the rated 15 Torr (Equal to 29.68 In Hg. at sea level).
These pumps were used on a lot of Puritan-Bennett medical vacuum systems over the years. This will be a great value for a hospital that needs to replace one of those units. We can supply intake filters, motor starters, or any other accessories needed. Will also consider trade in of other vacuum pumps regardless of condition.
