New USA Made Fast-Cut 3/4" Fine-Pitch Single End Cobalt Rougher.
These end mills have a sinusoidal chipbreaker form which produces small chips, allowing them to be run at faster feed rates than conventional tools, resulting in high material removal rates. They produce a rough finish which usually requires a finishing pass with a conventional tool. They are designed to machine difficult materials such as high temperature alloys, percipation hardening stainless steels and high alloy steels. The 8% cobalt content assures high edge hardness at elevated temperature levels. The additional chip breakers produce finer chips which are more easily flushed away, reducing the possibility of re-cutting and chip packing. The stub length provides rigidity and reduces deflection. They can be used for general purpose rough milling including profiling slotting and pockets. They will also plunge cut. A variety of surface treatments are available to improve performance.
