These extremely popular calipers feature a "4-way" jaw design that assures quick and easy readings of inside, outside, depth and step measurements. Fast-action knurled thumbroll provides rapid travel and ultra-smooth settings. Large, easy to read dial is fully adjustable for zero or intermediate settings. Thumbwheel locking mechanism assures positive locking at any position desired. Depth of outside jaws is a full 1.6& to ensure optimum bearing surface for measuring. Scale surface is handsomely finished in luster-satin chrome with micro-fine engraved graduations. Body is stainless steel, hardened throughout and micro-lapped for ultimate accuracy during the measuring process. Includes fitted case.
