This probe WILL DETECT Polonium 210 Po-210 as well as Gamma rays, Alpha particles, Beta particles and X-Rays- Virtually all kinds of nuclear radiation except neutrons.

The GEO-210 is made from a first quality pancake probe, same as used in the Ludlum 44-9's, placed in a rugged, padded aluminum casting with a protective stainless steel screen over the window.
NO MATTER WHAT GEIGER counter you are using, it can be improved by adding a pancake probe. Any unit designed to use 900V probes will work with this. Easily add a BNC connector to your CDV-700 series to accept this probe, or we can do that for you.
Ordinary probes will NOT detect any ALPHA radiation, the principle type from Plutonium, Radium, Radon, Polonium, and so many more highly radioactive elements.
Ordinary probes WILL NOT pick up weak Betas like from TC-99 the most common medical isotope.
The GEO-210 picks up Alphas, Betas, weak Betas, X-Rays, and weak plus strong Gamma Rays.
The overall sensitivity is much greater than most any all metal tube by a large factor. Nothing else can equal the *SENSITIVITY* plus *WIDE RANGE* of radiation detected, even $1000.00+ scintillators which will not work on many instruments.
Up to 300,000 counts per minute form a common smoke detector element. Zero on an ordinary probe.
The probe does all the work in any Geiger Counter. The meter unit merely reports what the probe sees. If the probe can't see it, it can't be counted. The probe is what does all the work in any system.
6-100 times more sensitive than a standard "hot-dog" probes like #6993, depending upon the energy level and type of radiation being detected
